IHG Beijing Cluster Charity Golf Trophy 2012

IHG Beijing Cluster Charity Golf Trophy was successfully held at Beijing Tianzhu Golf & Country Club on September 7th 2012. The event raised a total of RMB 400,000 for Project Hope.

Organized by 23 IHG Beijing cluster hotels under InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands, the event also won tremendous support from many corporate sponsors and business partners. Over 70 players joined in the golf competition and over 100 guests participated in the gala dinner. The BN Charity Choir sponsored by IHG staged the opening performance at the gala dinner, which deeply impressed all the guests.

The golf competition is one of the most important annual charity events held by IHG Beijing cluster. By organizing this, the hotels hope to raise public awareness and have more people join hands and support the children in China’s poverty-stricken areas. Mr. Roland Steiner, Director of Operations Central North China, said: “A big thank you to all those sponsors, and all the people who have contributed to this event. It’s your generosity that makes this event such a great success!”

Responsible Business is a core value of IHG. In November 2007, IHG became a corporate partner of China Youth Development Foundation and set up a dedicated IHG Hope Fund. By the end of June 2012, the Fund had raised over RMB16 million and been used to build 20 IHG Hope Schools.
